Friends of Foster Children Scholarship Requirements
Friends of Foster Children (FOFC) offers financial assistance in the form of scholarships to deserving foster children (or emancipated foster children) wishing to continue their education beyond the high school level. A limited number of scholarships are now available for the 2012/2013 academic year. The Scholarship application deadline is March 15, 2012. First year awards are $500.00 for community colleges and vocational schools, and $1,000.00 for four year colleges and universities. The scholarship is renewable.
You are eligible to apply for a Friend of Foster Children Scholarship if you:
1. Can verify your status as a foster child/court dependent from Los Angeles
County, California.
2. Are or will be a high school graduate or equivalent. Students currently enrolled
in College are eligible.
3. Have a definite and verifiable educational plan for a vocational program,
community college, college or university.
4. Can document financial need.
